Why should I hire Barker & Katz to look after my pets?
Barker & Katz is a professional service and is a bonded and insured company, therefore your pets and your home are in good hands. Sure, you could have the neighbor look after your pets while you are gone, but we provide dedicated and consistent service accompanied by piece of mind that your neighbor most likely does not bring. At Barker & Katz, we build lasting relationships with our clients so we are committed to your pets and maintaining your service.
What is different about your rates compared to other pet sitters?
Our rates are based on length of time spent with your pet and not upon number of pets.
What information do I need to provide at the consultation visit?
We ask that you provide us with a current vaccination record for your pet. Also, be prepared to complete a Pet Sitting Contract that will require contact information for your pet's vet as well as emergency contact information along with questions about the routine of your pet.
Must I provide a key for you to keep?
No, it is not necessary for you to copy a key for us to keep on file if you do not want to. If you prefer to hide a key and provide us access to that, it is fine.
I am going out of town on short notice, are you able to care for my animal without a consult?
Certainly. While we prefer to meet with you and your animal before you leave town, we also understand that sometimes events occur that are out of your control. We will gather all of the most important information and will be there to care for your pet.
